About the artist

I am a Newfoundland-born, summer resident of the Twillingate NL area. It was somewhat ironic that I discovered hooking only much later in life, through a weekend course offered at the Twillingate Museum.

I love rug hooking. It satisfies my love of fibre and colour. And detail. It makes me happy.

Not being a conformist at heart, it was satisfying to find a medium where the only rules are the ones you make for yourself.

You can dye colours you can't find anywhere else. If suddenly I found I could no longer hook for some sad reason, I would still find much pleasure hovering over a dye-pot.
